Dr. Berberich's doctorate thesis on “Internet Gambling” was tutored by Prof. Dr. Voßkuhle, now President of the German Constitutional Court. In his thesis, published by Duncker & Humblot, he comprehensively deals with the issue of the systematic development of German gambling law.
Dr. Berberich took his second state exam in Freiburg im Breisgau. During the optional phase of his legal traineeship, which he spent in Bologna, he was able to gain experience in the work of lawyers abroad. He studied law at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität in Freiburg im Breisgau and at the Julius-Maximilians-Universtität in Würzburg.
In addition to his activities as a lawyer, Dr. Berberich engages in training students of law. He is a lecturer and partner at the legal coaching institute Juristisches Repetitorium hemmer in Bayreuth, Bremen and Marburg an der Lahn. His teaching focus is on criminal and public law.
He also is responsible for the compilation of the teaching materials used by Juristisches Repetitorium hemmer nationwide, as well as for the revision and updating of the products published by the hemmer/wüst publishing house in the area of criminal law.
Dr. Berberich is furthermore co-editor of the monthly legal education magazine Life & Law, where he explains, and comments on, current decisions by the higher courts. He is also author of hemmer.club news service JurGAP in which he summarises recent important court decisions for legal training and practice.
